First ASME pipe series in MagiCAD Cloud

MagiCAD Product Data Specialist Jarno Järveläinen introduces the new ASME 16.24 pipe series available in MagiCAD Cloud.

We have recently released our first ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) compliant ready-made pipe series in the MagiCAD Cloud BIM platform for our Revit customers. The ASME 16.24 pipe series has been developed according to Canadian requirements, but employs DN sizing and is therefore fully suitable for wider use in North-America and elsewhere. The products in the series are Class 150 and 300 copper pipe components with integrated flanges for a variety of uses.

Our new ASME 16.24 series joins over 100 ready-made manufacturer and standard pipe series in MagiCAD Cloud. The library has previously included individual ASME compliant manufacturer products, but this is the first complete standard pipe series with ASME fittings.

Serving our customers’ needs with MagiCAD pipe series

In creating our own ready-made pipe series, we are constantly looking to ease designers’ workload and to enable better quality models. When you use the ready-made pipe series in MagiCAD Cloud, there is no need to search for suitable fittings for each situation. This work has already been done when compiling the pipe series and designers always have the correct fittings readily available.

To make sure the benefits of your design are carried over to the final installation, all of the products in a pipe series can be included in a Bill of Materials, which is used as the basis for product orders.

Having worked on our new ASME 16.24 products, I’m excited we finally have our pipe series available for designers. I can’t wait to see and hear how people use them!
