aquatherm

aquatherm is the world’s leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems made of polypropylene for plant construction and building services. Back in 1973 the tradesman Gerhard Rosenberg discovered that polypropylene (PP-R) was an ideal material for in-floor radiant heating tubing. He began manufacturing the polypropylene pipe, known as aquatherm, in his garage in Attendorn, Germany.

Today, aquatherm continues to set the bar for the plastic pipe in a world, where megatrends such as digitalization, climate change, sustainability, and aging infrastructure are continuously changing our world. The price of metal is increasing, but the cost of PP-R piping systems remains stable. Polypropylene is also 100% corrosion resistant, which is a huge advantage in many applications including air conditioning and heating systems.

aquatherm is keen to help MEP designers to estimate and plan piping systems for their projects. aquatherm has now launched new pipe series at MagiCAD to serve designers even better. MagiCAD 2022 brought extensive new functionalities for the MEP design. One new feature in MagiCAD for Revit environment is pre-configured pipe and drainage series. The pipe and drainage series now include a set of fittings that are automatically compatible with the selected piping and drainage. This feature makes selecting piping products much faster and easier.

Anastasios Barbas, Chief Product Officer (CPO) at aquatherm, explains the advantage of aquatherm piping systems for planners:

“With our range of plastic piping systems made of polypropylene, we cover numerous application areas in plant construction and building services. By depositing our pipe series in MagiCAD, we offer planners a significant simplification of work and support them in their project activities.”
