Sustainability in the building industry has recently been driven by increasing government regulations, cost-efficiency and expanding environmental concerns. As a massive producer of energy-related carbon emissions and consumer of raw materials, the building industry’s impact on the environment is huge, but so is also its potential for change.
In our new white paper we go green and approach the whole of a building project from the perspective of sustainability. Inside, we examine role of BIM in enabling sustainable practices throughout a construction project and take a closer look at how design innovations can help optimise energy efficiency during a building’s operations. For an example of how to put the theory into practice, we present a recent building project where sustainability was at the forefront every step of the way.
