Our MagiCAD for Revit Piping module has passed the CIBSE Software Verification Assessment (SVA) for Heating and Cooling Water Systems calculations.
The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) is the standard setter and authority on Building Services Engineering in the United Kingdom. It publishes Guidance and Codes which are internationally recognised as authoritative and sets the criteria for best practice in the profession.
The CIBSE Software Verification Assessment (SVA) is the process of verifying specific calculation methodologies and results for a particular software platform. Receiving the SVA confirms Heating and Cooling Water Systems calculations in MagiCAD’s Piping module for Revit are being performed correctly and are aligned to local UK industry guidance and standards.
“MagiCAD for Revit’s UK aligned calculations have been used across the UK for more than a decade with hundreds of M&E consultancies delivering projects using our software. CIBSE’s stamp of approval via the SVA further strengthens the software’s position in the UK market to ensure that the calculations have been officially checked by a professional engineering association,” says Gavin Doherty, Managing Director, MagiCAD Group Ltd.
“As an engineer you require full confidence in the software and tools you use on a day to day basis. The awarding of this CIBSE Software Verification Assessment reconfirms that MagiCAD calculations provide the highest level of accuracy required to produce reliable designs, in compliance with UK standards,” says Shaun Armstrong, Technical Area Manager, MagiCAD Group Ltd.
Earlier in October 2021 MagiCAD’s Ventilation module for Revit successfully passed the CIBSE SVA for the UK aligned Pipe Sizing and Pressure Drop calculations within the software.
