MagiCAD – the perfect solution for Projectus Team Oy

Projectus Team Oy, one of Finland’s largest consulting firms in building services design, made a remarkable change in its working practices by switching from its previous CAD system to MagiCAD. Projectus Team has now been using MagiCAD for a couple of years and its Managing Director, Juha Pihlajamäki, is completely happy with their decision.

“We chose MagiCAD for many reasons. We were unsatisfied with our previous CAD system and had received positive feedback on MagiCAD from our designers. We wanted to respond to the demands of buyers regarding 3D design, building information modelling and IFC compatibility. Its functions for calculations and efficient bills of materials also make a significant argument in favour of MagiCAD.

The switch to MagiCAD went smoothly. Progman Oy organised MagiCAD training for all draughtsmen, designers and project managers. The transition took place in phases, enabling all new projects to be started systematically with MagiCAD.

“We are very happy with MagiCAD. Pictures can be edited quickly, flexibly and efficiently during the design process. MagiCAD’s functions also allow designers who are unfamiliar with the project to easily determine, for example, to which system a certain duct is connected. The ease of the 3D design and the production of 3D printouts for various uses are also worth mentioning.

In general, CAD systems must have basic routines that really work. Software updates must work for the designer’s benefit without reducing the program’s functionality or stability. Software must be flexible and incorporate all the essential design tools, including simple editing functions and a wide product selection. All these functions are also provided by MagiCAD.”

Over the 15 years of its existence, Projectus Team Oy has become one of the leading players in the Finnish building services design sector. Its service concept includes HVAC and electrical design services as well as consulting in Finland and abroad. The service concept is supplemented with cooperation between several companies and specialist groups in the field.
