Jeven introduces MagiCAD Cloud Plugin for BricsCAD – streamlined design for professional kitchen ventilation

Jeven specialises in advanced ventilation solutions for professional kitchens and has long supported MEP designers with digital tools. For years, Jeven plugins for MagiCAD for AutoCAD and MagiCAD for Revit have been available, helping designers integrate Jeven’s products into their projects with speed and accuracy.

Now, we are happy to announce that Jeven is launching the Jeven MagiCAD Cloud Plugin for BricsCAD, further broadening its digital support and making it easier than ever for more designers to work with their solutions.

“Our goal was to serve the needs of our customers by giving them the possibility to work with a full BricsCAD and MagiCAD combination, fully connected with Jeven’s hood design. At the same time, we as an organisation also benefit, since the BricsCAD version is proving to be a more cost-effective alternative compared to AutoCAD,” says Jyrki Hämäläinen, Product Development Manager at Jeven.

Streamlining design with the Jeven MagiCAD Cloud Plugin for BricsCAD

The new plugin builds on Jeven’s well-established System Jeven Product Service, which provides designers with tailored hood drawings and technical data such as airflow, pressure drop, and acoustic performance. With the BricsCAD plugin, these proposals can now be imported directly into MagiCAD for BricsCAD, eliminating the need for manual adjustments and ensuring that all technical parameters remain accurate and up to date.

For designers, this means:

Faster workflows thanks to direct import of project-specific data

Reduced risk of errors when placing and configuring hoods

How it works

System Jeven Product Service provides the designer with a project ZIP file containing the required hood configurations. With a single command in BricsCAD, the designer imports the file, selects the appropriate supply and exhaust systems, and adds project-specific descriptions. The hoods are then seamlessly inserted into the MagiCAD model, ready for ductwork connection and further system design.

Once placed, the hoods behave like any other MagiCAD object, supporting coordination and clash detection across the project. Designers benefit from a smoother, more reliable workflow, with fewer manual steps and less room for mistakes.
