Known for simplifying the selection and calculation of indoor climate systems, LindQST has become a trusted tool for ventilation professionals across Europe. With the new MagiCAD Cloud Plugin, BricsCAD projects can now be linked to LindQST, enabling faster and more accurate selection of Lindab products.
Lindab provides a comprehensive range of solutions for ventilation, heating, cooling, and indoor climate control systems, including ducting, dampers, silencers, diffusers, and other essential components. Alongside these products, Lindab develops indoor climate designer tool LindQST to help MEP professionals design and implement indoor climate systems faster and more accurately.
LindQST is Lindab’s quick selection tool that contains selection, calculation, and visualisation of complete solution components. The new MagiCAD Cloud Plugin integrates LindQST now into MagiCAD for BricsCAD, allowing users to easily select and insert Lindab products and design the air distribution in rooms.
“Integrating LindQST directly into MagiCAD for BricsCAD means users work faster, make fewer mistakes, and get richer BIM models with up-to-date Lindab data – all without breaking their design flow,” says Dan Kristiansson, Head of Customer Software Solutions at Lindab.
Easy and effortless ventilation design with BricsCAD
The new plugin allows users to connect MagiCAD for BricsCAD projects with LindQST, enabling them to:
- Quickly find and insert the best airborne and waterborne systems into your project.
- Select, calculate, and place silencers and dampers directly in MagiCAD for BricsCAD.
- Design air distribution in rooms using LindQST’s indoor climate designer. Export room geometries from MagiCAD to LindQST, add products using Indoor Climate Designer, and import them back with accurate positioning.
- Automatically populate product information from MagiCAD for BricsCAD into LindQST calculators.
- Export multiple products back into MagiCAD, including positioning, rotation, and system settings, reducing manual work and improving model accuracy.

“The plugin helps solve challenges around accuracy, efficiency, and data quality in MEP design – enabling engineers to design faster, with fewer errors, and with richer BIM data that benefits the entire project lifecycle,” Kristiansson explains.
By integrating LindQST directly into MagiCAD for BricsCAD, the plugin reduces repetitive tasks, improves data accuracy, and ensures that MEP designers can select, calculate, and place Lindab products efficiently within their BIM projects.
“This investment aligns with Lindab’s strategy of strengthening digital tools that make it easier for consultants and contractors to choose our products. By offering a plugin, we ensure that Lindab products are accessible regardless of the CAD platform customers prefer,” Kristiansson adds.
On the development process, he comments: “The plugin development was a close collaboration where Lindab contributed with product expertise and MagiCAD Group brought software know-how. Together we created a solution that improves design workflows, ensures data accuracy, and delivers real value to engineers and consultants.”
Download and install the plugin from MagiCAD Portal. You will then find LindQST MagiCAD plugin ribbon panel under MagiCAD Connect tab in MagiCAD for BricsCAD.
