MagiCAD Cloud Plugin connects Halton eHIT to design software for easy product selection

We have recently released MagiCAD Plugins to connect Halton eHIT seamlessly into design software. This makes selecting and utilising Halton’s wide range of environmentally friendly products much faster and easier for designers.

Halton eHIT is the next generation product selection tool

Halton eHIT is the next generation product selection tool of the well-known downloadable Halton HIT Design. Halton eHIT offers a browser-based platform for selecting, calculating, and designing indoor air solutions tailored to project needs.

Halton eHIT showcases a curated selection of products from Halton’s range of indoor air solutions for buildings, encompassing airflow management, fire and smoke safety, outdoor intake, and room air conditioning.

“Halton eHIT builds on the strong foundation of our legacy Halton Hit Design tool and offers a superior user experience. Ease-of-use and ensuring the tool is accessible from any browser on any device were key design criteria for us,” Jaana Hjelm continues.

With Halton eHIT, users can easily add a configured product to a quotation request or use the export feature to generate DXF files. MagiCAD Plugin connects Halton eHIT to design software, allowing users to seamlessly bring the products to MagiCAD for AutoCAD, MagiCAD for Revit, and standalone Revit.

Once the MagiCAD Plugin is taken into use, it connects Halton eHIT to the design software. In MagiCAD for AutoCAD, all plugins can be located from MagiCAD plugins tab. In MagiCAD for Revit and standalone Revit, Halton eHIT plugin ribbon panel can be found from Add-Ins tab. When the drop-down button is clicked, the list of available operations will be shown:

As an example, Insert Fire Dampers and Valves -command opens Halton eHIT in the plugin and shows the options:

From the MagiCAD button, the plugin retrieves technical data for the configured product from the Halton eHIT web application. Additionally, the plugin downloads the geometric model from MagiCAD Cloud:

The plugin then exports the product to MagiCAD and Revit, where it can be attached to a project:

Halton continues to develop Halton eHIT and in the future, it will replace Halton HIT Design. MagiCAD for Revit and standalone Revit plugins used to contain Halton HIT Design and Product Storage functionalities. Product Storage has now been removed but the Revit plugin remains to support Halton HIT Design. Halton eHIT continuously incorporates new features and products to enhance its offerings and the MagiCAD Plugins will be updated accordingly.
