NIBE launches MagiCAD Cloud Plugin for integration with NIBE Dim Vent

NIBE has developed the NIBE MagiCAD Cloud Plugin to connect its configuration tool, NIBE Dim Vent, with MagiCAD for Revit, MagiCAD for AutoCAD, as well as standalone Revit and AutoCAD. The plugin enables direct transfer of configured air handling units and related technical data into the design environment, supporting accurate and efficient HVAC design.

Supporting designers with structured workflows

The NIBE MagiCAD Cloud Plugin provides a clear and controlled workflow for handling air handling units throughout the project.

Insert directly from NIBE Dim Vent

Designers can configure and calculate air handling units in NIBE Dim Vent and insert them directly into the model. Airflow and pressure data from selected ductwork can be transferred automatically to support correct dimensioning.

Import configured units

Units exported from NIBE Dim Vent can be imported into the project, enabling collaboration between designers, sales engineers and technical specialists.

Update when requirements change

If system requirements are modified, the selected air handling unit can be updated through the plugin. Technical data is synchronised with NIBE Dim Vent, and the unit is either updated or replaced while maintaining its position in the design software.

Validate against ductwork requirements

The validation function checks that the air handling unit continues to meet airflow and pressure requirements, helping maintain technical consistency throughout the project.

Controlled installation settings

System connections for ducts and, where applicable, heating and cooling pipes can be defined before insertion. Installation height can also be specified to support accurate placement.

With the NIBE MagiCAD Cloud Plugin, NIBE supports designers with a structured way to configure, insert and maintain technically accurate air handling units directly within their CAD or BIM environment.
