New features – MagiCAD 2025 UR-1 for BricsCAD
1. Support for BricsCAD V25
All
MagiCAD 2025 UR-1 is compatible with the new BricsCAD V25 version, as well as with the previous BricsCAD V24 version.

2. Usability improvements to MagiCAD Room
Room
Multiple additions improve the usability of MagiCAD Room. A new column in Room lists shows whether manual heat loss values are ON or OFF. This makes it easier to distinguish between manually added and calculated heat loss values.
When importing and updating data from an IFC file, MagiCAD Room did not indicate which values were overwritten and which settings were updated during the process. A new dialog is now shown during IFC import, which shows the values that will be updated and allows users to edit the selection, if needed.
The IFC4 export in MagiCAD Room has also been updated to use the full IFC4 schema, which allows for space boundaries.

3. Improvements to IFC import from DIALux evo
Electrical
The IFC import of lighting plans from Dialux evo has been improved for a better workflow and easier use. Users are now notified in case an imported IFC file is somehow invalid. Common reasons for this are, for example, missing storey or building definitions. If an imported file only contains a single storey, MagiCAD now proceeds directly to luminaire mapping without unnecessary storey mapping. This makes it easier and faster to import single-storey files, such as site plans.

4. Improvements to busbar systems
Electrical
It is now possible to use vertical tee branches when modelling busbar systems and the default branch lengths for fittings can be defined in the product data sheet. These additions enable easier modelling of busbar systems and help ensure correct branch lengths throughout.
In addition, if an installed busbar supply unit is not automatically connected to a switchboard, users are prompted to select a switchboard to connect with.

5. Bus system reports
Electrical
Bus systems are created in MagiCAD as virtual circuits, which has certain benefits, but also means that existing tools could not be used to create bus system reports. The new version adds the possibility to create bus system reports and print them as a block into the drawing.
Users can select the contents of the report (hosts, hosts and circuits, or hosts, circuits and devices) and the hosts that will be included. The report block can be added anywhere in the drawing, and it can be updated if there are changes to the system.
The report lists the number of connections and bus current for each device. These values, together with cable length, are summarised to circuits and the circuit values are subsequently summarised to hosts. Warning limits of hosts and circuits can also be included in the reports.

6. Expanded notes section and new properties in calculation reports
Ventilation, Piping
The notes section in the calculation reports shows information that has been added to the Notes dialog in the project file. The text limit for the notes in calculation reports has been lower than in the project file, but it has now been expanded so that all the text from the project file can be shown.
Other improvements to calculation reports include the addition of missing differential pressure properties.

7. Heating and cooling volume for Climate beams and Fan Coil Units
Ventilation, Piping
MagiCAD now includes separate properties for heating and cooling volume for Climate beam and Fan coil unit devices. This allows users to better account for installations with separate heating and cooling systems. Separate heating and cooling volume values are also used with manufacturer products, if this information is available.

8. Additional information available for underfloor heating loops
Piping
MagiCAD now provides additional information about underfloor heating loops for users. The new information that is shown includes adjustment values and pressure loss over valves for the connected manifold, the total length of the loops, the distance between pipes, and pressure loss over the entire loop.
