MagiCAD 2025 UR-2 for Revit – Quality assurance release

MagiCAD 2025 UR-2 is a quality assurance release. We have focused in this version on technical enhancements to the software and on correcting outstanding issues, with a focus on improving overall stability and performance. Only a minimal amount of new functionality has been added in this release.

A periodic quality assurance release is preventive maintenance and a good practice that ensures a high-performing software solution. The technical enhancements also guarantee that the available software tools are up-to-date with the latest technical develoments. Our customers’ feedback is an important part of this work and helps us make MagiCAD the most advanced and reliable MEP design software available.

User reported issues and improved tracking of unexpected errors

This version is focused on correcting many of the issues that have been reported by users. Adressing outstanding issues is a major part of a quality assurance release and shows that our customers are heard. We have also gathered telemetry data for instances where users receive a message for an unknown issue (“oops… unexpected error” ) in order to identify and correct them. The result is a more stable software for customers and a more reactive issue management process going forward.

Data storage

Feature specific data storage has been introduced for many MagiCAD features, which previously used the project as shared data storage. This technical change enables more fluent use of many features in worksharing environments. The data storage change applies to the following features:
